CheckFire was born in 1975, and operated as a small family business from a garage in the family home. Here in 2018, 43 years on, we are almost unrecognisably a bigger company, yet still share those family values – care, trust, and passion.

And we are still 100% Trade-only suppliers.  You can trust us.

The Commander brand celebrated its 10th birthday last year, and is now one of the most trusted and relied-on brands in the industry. Bringing you innovative products, this range is proven to perform and with well in excess of 2,000,000 units sold you can rest assured it won’t let you down.

They are well decorated too. Take our Kitemarked CommanderEDGE range for example – many models are MED ‘Ship’s Wheel’ approved, and most of the water and foam units are 35kVa dielectrically tested.

Need something a bit more premium?
Our Contempo range offers the most exquisite finishes on the market today, including polished stainless steel, polished gold, and hand-finished antique copper. These are perfect for premium applications, or heritage buildings, making fire safety equipment something you actually want on show!

In our recently-modernised renovating workshop we produce our own powder coated CO2 renovated extinguishers and offer a full refill/overhaul service to every size of CO2 unit, including large fixed system cylinders.

We understand that your time is precious, and your time is money.
That’s why we have one of the widest ranges of products for the Fire Trade. You really don’t need to go anywhere else! A broad range of ancillary products, including a new industry-leading range of extinguisher cabinets and stands, as well as offering passive fire protection products for buildings and fire and emergency signage.

But none of this is any good if we don’t have stock! That’s why we have recently invested in a 30,000 square foot high-bay warehouse. Our enormous stocks mean we have a remarkable capacity to supply, even for extremely large users.

Our incredibly flexible delivery service gives you a perfectly engineered solution to meet your individual needs. We work with you to ensure you get the best and most personal service. With a mix of our own transport, plus pallet and parcel couriers, we can offer a tailored solution to fit your business.

And we offer some more unique services too.
Need your scrap extinguishers collected?  No problem – we offer a nationwide scrap collection service with extremely competitive rates.  We can also take your waste cardboard for recycling.
